The DigLit Project is Leicester set about defining and designing a framework for Digital literacy within secondary schools. As my project is based around this study, I thought this would be a good place to start.

First, what is Digital Literacy?

Below are 3 various definitions of Digital Literacy

Digital literacy defines those capabilities which fit an individual for living, learning and working in a digital society.”  – (JISC, 2011a)

The ability to locate, organize, understand, evaluate, and analyze information using digital technology. It involves a working knowledge of current high-technology, and an understanding of how it can be used. Digitally literate people can communicate and work more efficiently, especially with those who possess the same knowledge and skills.” – (Wikipedia, 2014)
